Bliss
Poet: May Sarton
In the middle of the night,
My bedroom washed in moonlight
And outside
The faint hush-husing
Of an ebbing tide,
I see Venus
Close to
The waning moon.
In the middle of the night,
My bedroom washed in moonlight
And outside
The faint hush-husing
Of an ebbing tide,
I see Venus
Close to
The waning moon.
O infinite Consciousness,
brimming with elixir,
You live within my body,
and I worship only You.
I do not care
if I die, take birth,
